Now’s the time to make arrangements for an exciting trip to the Med to attend the Monaco Yacht Show at Port Hercules from 26 to 29 September. Baroque Travel has details about the show to excite you.
Come September, the Monaco Yacht Show will welcome visitors from all over the world to enjoy viewing 120 magnificent super yachts on display in iconic Port Hercules in the principality of Monaco. These yachts are built by the most respected shipyards in the world and designed by the most famous designers, and offer a taste of what’s on trend in the yachting world.
The show has been in existence since it was first opened by His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco in 1991. This September, from 26 to 29, the Monaco Yacht Show will once again host the yachting fraternity and showcase more than 40 new launches. The show features the ultimate display of sought-after luxury yachts, water toys, prestige cars, helicopters and private jets. Industry influencers flock there to find out about the latest trends in the yachting industry and to mingle with the rich and famous.
This year is the 28th year that the Principality of Monaco has hosted this impressive international luxury yacht event in Port Hercules. So if you own a super yacht, are a future purchaser or a charter client, it’s best you head for this prestigious event to see what’s on display.
Amongst the collection of super yachts for the 2018 event will be the 40 brand new designs being unveiled by leading shipyards to showcase their creativity. According to the General Manager of the Show, Gaëlle Tallarida, “We work in coordination with participating yacht brokers and shipyards in the interest, first and foremost, of the individual visitor, whether owner or future owner and to help new clients discover the world of luxury offered only by the super yacht industry.”
Prospective clients are offered a bespoke program of visits to specific yachts they wish to view. Another highlight of the show is the ability to participate in the 3rd edition of the Monaco Yacht Summit. And then there’s the opening ceremony of the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS), which remains an extremely popular event.
The Monaco Yacht Summit, which takes place on 25 September at the Meridien Beach Plaza Hotel in Monaco, will feature mini lectures and private discussions. A panel of experts in the yachting industry will be on hand to discuss various aspects of the yachting industry.
This year, the Monaco Yacht Show extends over almost the entire Port Hercules area. The Quai des États-Unis has been completely restructured, enabling naval architects, shipyards and brokers to be located right on the quays next to their yachts on display in the water. There is a new line of yachts at right angles to the Quai that replaces the former floating pontoon connected to the Central T.
A new exhibition at the show is the Art Pavilion, a space dedicated to art featuring a collection of works of art and sculptures. Located at the Quai Antoine, it will feature the work of artists from 10 different galleries.
