Covering a distance of 3,360km, this famous cycling race, which starts in the city of Utrecht in the Netherlands, is made up of 21 different stages. To kick off the tour, the first stage will be a short 13.7km individual time trial in the city of Utrecht. From there it heads for Belgium and then participating cyclists will make their way to France. The Tour de France ends in Paris, along the famous Champs Élysées; it’s part of the last 107km stage that traverses many historic Paris landmarks, the perfect ending to this exciting race.

The race includes seven mountain stages with five finishes at the summit, two time trials (one individual and one team time trial), nine flat stages and three that tackle hills. A highlight of the race is the penultimate (20th) stage that finishes on top of the Alpe d’Huez.
