The exciting Les Voiles de St Tropez Regatta is a major sailing event that has become of Saint Tropez’s most popular for enthusiasts and yacht owners alike. Now in its 26th year, it offers traditional yachts and ordinary modern sailboats the opportunity to race against each other as summer turns to autumn.
Racing and sailing enthusiasts from all over the world flock to St Tropez every year to watch yachts and sail boats do battle in the spectacular Bay of Saint Tropez and watch one lucky winner of the Classic Division over 16 meters take home the coveted Rolex Trophy.
The sun is still shining this time of the year in Saint Tropez and the rest of the spectacular French Riviera, making this stunning coastline a joy to visit.
Add to that a collection of some of the world’s most prestigious yachts in both power and sailing categories, not to mention some awesome classic vessels and you can understand why Les Voiles de St Tropez Regatta is such a popular event.
Orchestrated by the Societe Nautique de Saint-Tropez for a selection of some of the finest traditional and modern yachts available, the regatta kicks off with training this coming weeken, Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September. This is very important for any sailing event. Berth is at Marina de Cogolin, about 10 minutes from the center of Saint Tropez in the Bay. The Regatta itself begins on Monday 28th September and lastsuntil Thursday Saturday 3rd October. The Prize Giving party is on Sunday 4th October.
