Golf aficionados can enjoy fun and sun in St Moritz this summer at the famous Kulm Hotel, which is offering complimentary green fees at its own 9-hole course and two 18-hole golf courses in the area for guests staying four nights or more

St Moritz’s Kulm Hotel is famous as a base for golfers, not only because of its own 9-hole golf course set on its grounds, but also its proximity to two excellent 18-hole golf courses at Samedan and Zuoz. St Moritz itself is located in the Engadine Valley, a golfer’s paradise because of its spectacular Alpine landscapes, dramatic mountain backdrops and stunning weather.

The Kulm Hotel’s golf course, which was established in 1891, was the first 9-hole course in Switzerland. Nestling amongst trees on the high Alps, and offering breathtaking views over Lake St Moritz, the course was upgraded in 2001. Today, it’s a par 27 course that is physically challenging, but guests enjoy being able to refresh themselves afterwards in the hotel’s Chesa al Parc Restaurant. There is also a driving range, with 16 teeing off sites and two putting greens, so that both beginners and experts can be challenged.

Samedan, which is just 10 minutes’ drive from the Kulm Hotel, opened in 1893 as the first 18-hole golf course in the country. Located on gently rolling terrain, it also boasts stunning views and features broad fairways lined with ancient giant larch trees (some of them are over 700 years old!). It also boasts numerous water features. Zuoz-Madulain, which is a 20-minute drive from St Moritz, was built in 2003 and combines undulating fairways and an attractive setting.

The Kulm Hotel has been pampering guests in luxury for more than 150 years. It offers numerous excellent facilities including its renowned spa, which offers a selection of health and beauty treatments. The hotel also offers an excellent wellbeing sports program and there are tennis courts as well as the golf course on the property.
