The Time New York has always been known for its great location, near Times Square on the West side of Midtown, close to Rockerfeller Center, Fifth Avenue’s boutiques and the theaters on Broadway. But now it has even more to offer, thanks to interior designer David Rockwell, including a triplex penthouse suite of 2,000 square feet over three floors and a 500-square-foot private terrace with balcony.

The magnificent penthouse has been designed with luxury and opulence in mind, and offers stunning views of the Hudson River. No expense has been spared in the decoration, of course, so the suite boasts Siberian oak floors and Frette linen from Italy. The first floor features a living area with kitchenette and pull-out sofa bed and spacious bathroom. On the second floor one finds the main Presidential Suite bedroom and a marble bathroom that is sure to become legendary, with an oversized bath tub that is combined with a walk-in rain shower to create an oversized bathing area, as well as a sauna and let’s not forget the Maison Margiela bath products on offer.

The third floor offers spectacular views from the loft, which offers a second pull-out sofa bed, as well as audiovisual equipment that is state-of-the-art, offering great entertainment or conference facilities.

The hotel itself in its new incarnation is a sensory pleasure and a great place to stay. Its eclectic interior is the ideal location for those creatives in the music, media and theatre worlds. Inside a secret world awaits, complete with extraordinary hidden lounge, called Le Grande Lounge located on the mezzanine level, dimly lit and secretive for private retreats. There’s a great bar, too and geometric artwork wherever one looks. The restaurant, Serafina at the Time New York, on the first floor, is a charming place to eat, with a delectable Northern Italian menu that has a reputation for excellence.

The new Time New York has taken its legendary service excellence along for the ride, so a stay here is always a pampering experience. With its proximity to every sight worth seeing in Manhattan, plus a few more for good measure, an avante garde offering in the midst of luxe to take the level up a notch or two, and a triplex penthouse suite that is unmatchable, it really does offer a unique getaway.

In fact, to launch the brand new penthouse, the Time New York is offering a special package, entitled “Penthouse on Point”, which includes one night in this luxury enclave, a caviar pizza delivered from Serafina, a magnum of Dom Perignon Rose champagne to wash it down, and airport/hotel limo transfers both ways, from $7,500.
