Let Baroque Villas book you into the Private Reserve, a luxury overwater villa at Gili Lankanfushi in the Maldives that will set you back $14,000 per night

Gili Lankanfushi is renowned as one of the most exquisite luxury resorts in the Maldives, and their latest offering, the newly revamped, plush overwater villa called the Private Reserve, is definitely something to write home about. Secluded? Definitely – it’s located around 1,000 feet from the nearest villa on the property, so guests are guaranteed absolute privacy and tranquility.

Of course, it’s no surprise that this exclusive villa was a necessity. Gili Lankanfushi has had numerous celebrity guests in the past, including Richard Branson and Serbian tennis pro Novak Djokovic. And celebrity guests love luxury and privacy.

The villa is huge – it’s spread over 15,000 square feet in all and offers every luxury feature imaginable, including a glass infinity swimming pool and a split-level deck where you can sunbathe and relax. In addition, there are four spacious bedrooms, two of which are part of the villa’s master suite. The master suite has a bathroom with its own outdoor oversized tub, glass-walled shower and swimming area that is sectioned off. In addition, the villa features plenty of glass flooring which makes one feel as if you are part of the sea.

The Private Reserve is designed with a central living area that features two circular couches that are located right above the water. In addition, guests enjoy every amenity usually reserved for all the guests at the hotel, not just a maximum of eight: there’s a library, dining room, bar, private cinema, gym, spa, sauna and steam room. Then, outside, you’ll find the sun loungers on the split-level deck, where you can lie and enjoy the magnificent ocean views.

Let’s not forget the personal butler, Mr Friday, who is there throughout your stay to take care of your every whim. This exclusive retreat really does look after its guests. It’s also extremely environmentally conscious.

Whether you stay at this exquisite villa or choose another of Gili Lankanfushi’s accommodation options (there are 45 spacious, rustic overwater villas built from natural wood and glass), you’re guaranteed a sanctuary, a peaceful haven that is exquisitely beautiful and the ideal getaway. Guests are transported from the airport on Male in the resort’s very own speedboat or an opulent yacht, on a 20-minute ocean journey. Once they step ashore there’s no need to wear shoes for the duration of their stay.

Dining is always an adventure at the resort, with dishes created using organic herbs and vegetables and a selection of fine international wines. There’s a main restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as the Japanese fusion restaurant By The Sea. Guests can enjoy a choice of more than 24 martinis on the cocktail list of the Overwater Bar, which is built in stilts over the lagoon and also serves Mediterranean titbits. Of course, dining in your own villa is always a popular choice.

With numerous adventures like diving day and night, snorkelling, windsurfing and cruising the atolls, not to mention yoga and other delights, life here is pure paradise, every single day.
