New from luxury Swiss watchmakers Hublot is the Spirit of Big Bang Blue, a limited edition of just 100 numbered timepieces. Baroque Access finds out more.
Hublot’s Spirit of Big Bang collection is renowned and now, to celebrate the summer season, the watchmakers have created another limited edition model that captures the essence of the warmer months. Inspired by the incredible azure of the Mediterranean Sea, it is called the Spirit of Big Bang Blue – and as its name suggests, it comes finished in that magical deep blue color.
Available only at Hublot boutiques, the new Tonneau-shaped timepiece is finished in blue micro-blasted and polished ceramic and features a blue alligator strap stitched onto white rubber with a Titanium clasp. It features all of the signature elements of Hublot’s iconic Spirit of Big Bang Range. There are six H-shaped Titanium screws that create a ‘sandwich’ case construction, and the unexpected mix of materials is another unique element.
The new Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Blue is powered by the HUB4700 automatic skeleton chronograph and features a 72-hour power reserve. It has a unique open-worked case back and is water-resistant to 100 meters. The entire design inspires one to set sail and be carried away to the rhythm of the movement.
No matter where you spend your summer, from the shores of Lake Geneva to the charming Côte d’Azur, the exquisite Isle of Capri to the French Riviera, you can dive into the infinite blue of Hublot’s Spirit of Big Bang Blue, with its polished Blue Sapphire Crystal base, 45mm case size and polished 18-karat white gold bezel set with 48 Baguette-cut Blue Sapphires. The Skeleton Dial features polished and smoked transparent composite resin and the hands are satin-finished with blue luminescent.
Swiss watchmakers Hublot was founded in 1980 by Maksim Kuts; it has grown to become one of the most renowned luxury horologists in the world.
