Jacob Arabo, owner of internationally renowned watch and jewellery brand Jacob & Co, has just opened a new boutique in the jet set village of Porto Cervo in Italy and a summer pop-up exhibition of his masterpieces are on show currently in Billionaire Club in the town.
If you’re heading for Porto Cervo or are lucky enough to be spending the summer there, make sure to visit the prestigious Billionaire Club until 15 August to enjoy Jacob Arabo’s exquisite Pop Up exhibition. Last week on 8 August, the famous jeweller and watchmaker, who opened a store in New York’s 57th Street between Madison and Park in April, hosted Jacob & Co’s second annual intimate Gala dinner at the Billionaire Club. The 180 invited guests enjoyed a red and white themed party with live performances by singers and composers, Alexander Shoua and Dimish Kudaibergen, as well as an enthralling show put on by dancers and acrobats from Le Cirque du Soleil.
Aside from this sensational exhibition, Jacob & Co’s second consecutive showcase in the past two years, the brand has also opened a pop-up store on Porto Cervo’s Via la Passegiata, which will be open from 10am to 1pm and 5pm to midnight every day.
Jacob Arabo was nicknamed ‘Jacob the Jeweller’ by the likes of Kanye West and 50 Cent in more than 70 songs. He has created masterpiece watches and over-the-top jewellery for A-list celebrities and billionaires around the world. His client list is a Who’s Who of international stars and celebrities including Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Cristiano Ronaldo, not to mention David Beckham, Madonna, even the late Michael Jackson.
The master jeweller creates a wax model of every piece he makes before he starts a customized piece – and many of these pieces, whether jewellery or watches, have graced the covers of top magazines worldwide. These days, Arabo creates high-end jewellery and complicated watches. Arabo has been quoted as saying that high-end clients want products that are either customized or quite unique – “An item that tells a story or offers an experience.”
Aside from the New York store that opened on 26 April, Arabo plans to open stores in Hong Kong, Paris, LA, London and Moscow in the future. The company Jacob & Co currently owns a watchmaking facility in Geneva, Switzerland and a boutique in Dubai, and has stockists in London, Paris, Moscow, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
