Cape Fahn Hotel is quite unique, set on its own private island that is separated from Koh Samui by a narrow channel. Baroque Travel takes a look at this new luxury establishment that opens its doors in early October

Exclusive, private and oh so luxurious, Cape Fahn Hotel in Koh Samui looks right over the channel to popular Choeng Mon Beach. But at this luxury boutique hotel, guests have their own beach, sheltered shores that they can relax on in complete privacy. The hotel features traditional Thai architecture and each of the 22 one- and 2-bedroom villas boasts its own large plunge pool and private sun deck and is decorated in a sea-inspired color palette. Villas offer a seating area, flat screen satellite TV and private bathroom as well as a terrace.

Guests can spend their days in seclusion in their private villas and sample local and international dishes delivered to their door 24/7– or they can hop onto a little boat or paddleboard and go exploring followed by a fine dining experience at Cape Fahn’s Michelin-starred The Crest Restaurant, where dishes are both beautiful to look at and delicious to taste, finished off with a drink or two under the stars. There is a second restaurant as well, the relaxed Hue Restaurant, offering Thai specialties and international flavors for lunch and dinner. If you prefer, you can also have an intimate lantern-lit dinner for two on the beach.

This brand new hotel has been chosen as a member of Small Leading Hotels. Aside from offering private pools with every villa, there is also a large saltwater swimming pool for guests with its own sun terrace. Each of the villas is tucked into tropical gardens, set beside pristine beaches. The hotel also features a spa offering traditional Thai massages and an assortment of beauty and wellness treatments for individuals or couples. The hotel also offers a fitness room and various water sports including snorkelling.

A highlight of a stay here is exploring by boat to a neighboring island. If you prefer, you can wait for low tide and then stroll across the narrow strait to Koh Samui.

This new hotel offers a unique Koh Samui holiday, where guests enjoy the seclusion and privacy of their exclusive retreat but are close enough to this vibrant Thai resort’s nightlife and beaches as well, offering a well-rounded vacation. The advantages of a luxury getaway with fine cuisine is an added bonus.
