Recently awarded the status of being included as one of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, (SLH), this Hamptons haven is well worth a stay. Baroque Travel finds out all about Topping Rose House

Located in the heart of the legendary Hamptons in Bridgehampton, between Southampton, East Hampton and Sag Harbor, Topping Road House blends history and modernity in a luxury package. The hotel, which is charmingly small, only offers 16 spacious guest rooms and 6 exquisite one-bedroom suites. It also boasts a renowned restaurant by Chef Jean Georges, a beautiful swimming pool, pampering health and spa facilities and chauffeur-driven cars to take guests around town. Its proximity to exquisite beaches is another drawcard. Of course, service is attentive and personalized, which is why this luxurious haven has been awarded SLH status.

Just 10 miles from New York City on the East End of Long Island, Topping Road House is the only full-service luxury hotel in the Hamptons. Ideally located close to Bridgehampton’s iconic boutiques, art galleries and cafes, the hotel offers a charming farm-to-table restaurant that seats up to 75 patrons. All the dishes are prepared using produce grown on the property’s one-acre Topping Rose Farm as well as quality ingredients from other local farmers and fishermen.

The hotel’s Naturopathica Spa offers a selection of herbal treatments including a Herbal Hydration Complex Mask and an anti-inflammatory massage using Arnica Remedy Oil. Guests enjoy a selection of bespoke activities including a private yoga session in the Studio or the Barn. There are also cooking, wine or spirits demonstrations available, all led by expert staff. Guests can also enjoy guided hikes and bicycle rides, a chartered fishing excursion and a visit to a vineyard with wine tasting.

A major highlight for guests is Topping Road House’s art collection that features both local and international artists. It includes artworks by Seattle artist Christopher Boffoli who plays with scale and experiments with exceptional food photography . Also featured is the piece by Scott Patt entitled Rabbit with Foot, that features a ceramic rabbit sculpture with a foot dipped in gold.

The Hamptons experience is a must for New Yorkers and visitors to this part of the world – and if you can stay at this exceptional boutique hotel, you’re in for a real treat.
