The six magnificent colors used for the handbag were inspired by a selection of colorful gemstones, including amethyst, garnet, pink quartz, turquoise and cordierite. Each color has been rendered to perfection through meticulous attention to detail in the tinting process, and shades are all hand-finished at one of France’s oldest tanneries, which dates back to the beginning of the 19th Century.
Edges have been hand-tinted, saddle stitching has been painstakingly done by hand in tone on tone or in contrasting colors and the beautiful silk lining is leather-trimmed. In fact, fine leather craftsmanship is evident in every detail of Cartier’s latest handbag, the C de Cartier, both inside and out, with the final touch, the silver-colored ‘Cartier’ signature, stamped on the front.
This magnificent handbag offers an adjustable and retractable strap, giving the wearer the option of carrying it on the shoulder or by hand. The handbag itself is made of Taurillon leather with palladium finishes. It offers two side compartments, including one with a flat pocket. There is also a central zipped compartment with two flat pockets.
