Expect sumptuous sea vessels and exciting journeys as the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company takes to the seas with a series of luxury yachts and cruises. Baroque Travel has all the details

The Ritz-Carlton group is about to become quite unique; it will soon be the only one of its kind in the world, a brand that offers bespoke luxury travel experiences on both land and sea. Last month the group introduced the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, a luxury hospitality service brought to us by award-winning luxury hotel brand Ritz-Carlton its first foray into the cruising sector of the luxury travel market.

The new company is creating three exquisite cruising yachts, designed by cruise ship design firm Tillberg Design of Sweden. The first Ritz-Carlton yacht will take to the sea at the end of 2019.

Cruises on these luxurious vessels will be between 7 and 10 days in duration, and when it embarks in the last quarter of 2019, the first ship will visit a variety of exciting destinations including the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and Latin America. As these luxury yachts will be much smaller than cruise liners, they will be able to visit locations that are inaccessible to larger cruise ships, including the likes of Capri, Portofino and St Barth.

Journeys on these luxury yachts will include visiting ports of call for the day, and overnight. Because of their size, these luxury yachts will offer accommodation of 149 suites for a maximum of 298 passengers. Each suite will feature a private balcony offering spectacular sea views. There will also be two spacious duplex penthouse suites on each yacht.

Journeys will offer guests an unrivalled level of personal service and comfort, something Ritz-Carlton hotels are already synonymous with, but an offering that is quite unusual when it comes to cruising. The yachts will feature restaurants by Sven Elverfeld of Aqua, the three Michelin-starred restaurant located at The Ritz Carlton in Wolfsburg. In addition, they will each offer the services of a signature Ritz-Carlton spa. Of course, that will be of the highest standard, too.

According to President and COO of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company LLC, Herve Humler, “This unique combination of yachting and cruising will usher in a new way of luxury travel for guests seeking to discover the world in a relaxed, casually elegant and comfortable atmosphere with the highest level of personalized service.”

The cruising itineraries will be bespoke, developed to combine the luxury lifestyle of The Ritz-Carlton’s resorts with the casual freedom of an unparalleled yachting vacation. These one-of-a-kind destination journeys will be created in collaboration with local chefs, musicians and artists, so that guests can experience each destination in a unique and unusual way.
