Jaeger LeCoultre’s latest Rendez-Vous Moon Serenity is all in blue, a precious pink gold version of the timepiece that relays the watchmaker’s horology and jewellery expertise. Baroque Access has all the details

Contrary to popular belief, the first wristwatches were worn by women. Always on the cutting edge, Jaeger LeCoultre was one of the first watchmakers to offer women elegant watches, completely set with diamonds and with exceptionally small calibers.

The brand’s Rendez-Vous collection is a tribute to this tradition, and it aims to make modern women look and feel sublime. A Rendez-Vous watch does not reveal its mystery at first glance, it has to be studied closely to discover its treasures: its automatic movement, where the sapphire bottom reveals the complexity of the machinery; the delicacy of its finishing touches; its face which is finely-engraved or covered in mother-of-pearl; the shine of its precious stones…

Graceful from every angle, the Rendez-Vous Collection is the union between the aesthetic and the mechanical. An ode to beauty that underscores the female wrist whether by day or at night.

The latest Rendez-Vous Moon Serenity from Jaeger LeCoultre’s legendary Rendez-Vous Collection showcases moon phases against a sumptuous backdrop, a wave of blue and sparkling diamonds. The watch features a mother of pearl moon phase set off against its satin-brushed star chart. Dainty golden half spheres glitter under the light above the enchanting blue of the timepiece’s inner dial, recreating the constellations of the night sky on a starry evening.

The floral hand numerals are very emblematic of Jaeger LeCoultre’s Rendez-Vous Collection; they fade softly into the lower part of the satin-brushed sunray dial almost to the point of vanishing altogether. The hour numerals form a circle, inviting the eye to focus on the splendour of the nocturnal ballet that has been created in an endless cycle of renewal.

The watch bezel is circled by a crown of 62 exquisite brilliant-cut diamonds, each meticulously selected to fit in with the other gems in the setting. The beating heart of this new Rendez-Vous Moon Serenity is powered by the precision of its automatic mechanical movement, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 935 – all 265 components can be admired through the sapphire crystal case-back. Through both its faces, the latest Rendez-Vous iteration presents an alluring temptation to travel, with the stars as our companions along the way. In the purity of its lines and the refinement of its contours and materials, this magnificent contemporary timepiece channels the distinguished combination of the Grande Maison’s Rare Rare Handcrafts “Métiers Rares”®.

The timepiece is 36mm in diameter and just 10.5mm thick. It is water resistant and has a power reserve of 38 hours. In all, there are 124 diamonds decorating this magnificent watch – 1.31 carats in total.
