Emirates has once again elevated aviation nostalgia into an art form. Following the success of its inaugural 2023 collection, the airline has unveiled its second limited-edition range: the Aircrafted by Emirates 2025 Collection. Comprising 167 exclusive pieces, this luxurious line of luggage is more than just fashion—it’s a piece of aviation heritage reimagined.
Where Style Takes Flight
Crafted from upcycled components of retrofitted A380s and Boeing 777s, each item tells a unique story. Emirates has repurposed over 30,000 kg of materials from 63 aircraft, including everything from polished aluminium headrests to the soft leather of First and Business Class seats. Some handbags even incorporate fur from a former Emirates Captain’s seat, while others include straps fashioned from genuine seatbelts—a whimsical nod to their sky-high origins.
Designed by Aviation Artisans
The bags are meticulously handcrafted in Dubai by a dedicated team of 14 Engineering Maintenance Assistants—now affectionately called ‘tailors’—based inside the Emirates Engineering facility. Their daily tasks, once focused on repairing tears in aircraft interiors, now include designing and assembling luxury luggage from aviation relics. This transformation is part of Emirates’ multi-billion-dollar fleet retrofit project that began in August 2022.
Form Meets Function
The 2025 release expands on its predecessor with three new trolley bag styles, two backpacks, and two handbags. With new linings, reinforced zippers, and cleaned, conditioned materials, these accessories offer robust functionality while preserving the charm of their aircraft origins.
A Purpose-Driven Design
More than just collectible pieces, the collection is tied to a philanthropic mission. A substantial portion of proceeds will support the Emirates Airline Foundation, benefiting children in need around the world. The first collection raised over $17,000 for charity, and the 2025 edition is expected to soar even higher.
