Miami’s latest hotel offering that opens in November is something quite unique
Thanks to the likes of design innovator Ian Schrager, hotels are being revolutionized. Luckily, Schrager’s magnificent innovations are starting to spread worldwide, so there’s no shortage of opportunities to experience their special touches. Currently you’ll find a magnificent Edition Hotel in London and another in Istanbul – and their latest addition, the Miami Edition is just as impressive. With a location as idyllic as Miami Beach, you’re going to enjoy a very different Edition experience. Here, city living isn’t what’s on offer. As with the other two magnificent Edition establishments, this one, which opens to the public in November 2014, offers an unexpected, refreshing experience that includes innovative design (take a look at the photographs here to give you an idea of how breathtaking it is!) and a plethora of entertainment and dining options. Of course, each hotel is designed to blend into its setting, and the Edition Miami is no exception.
Like the other Edition hotels, this one has an attitude of sophistication. It’s a unique, very special place with 294 guest rooms, suites and bungalows, including a sumptuous penthouse suite. Designed by world-famous architect John Pawson, the Residences, which are for purchase, are located on top of an existing landmarked structure that was built in the 1950s. There’s also a brand new, separate building with 18 floors of rooms for guests.
This world class urban resort is located on its own private beach and offers a stunning selection of dining and entertainment options including a restaurant run by Michelin-starred chef Jen-Georges Vongerichten, a gourmet selection of on-the-go offerings, a Lobby Bar with spectacular ocean views, bowling alley, ice skating rink and nightclub, two outdoor swimming pools with outdoor bars, an outdoor movie theater, fitness center and spa. In addition, the rooms are exquisite, with en suite marble bathrooms, king-size beds and every imaginable facility.
And if you can’t get to Miami soon, don’t despair. New York will have it’s own Edition hotel in 2015, and there will be another opening in China next year, too.
