Monte Carlo comes alive this summer with a wide selection of stunning music at Europe’s most exclusive summer festival, with the likes of Lady Gaga, Lenny Kravitz, Sting and Anastacia taking to the stage to perform. Baroque Travel has all the details

 

From 4th July right through until 22 August, Monte Carlo comes alive to the sounds of world-class musicians at the exclusive Monte Carlo Sporting Summer Festival, an annual event that has been hosting shining stars since 1974. Events are not only limited to some of the best performers in the world; there are also stunning dinner shows and other exciting experiences.

 

For 2015, the organizers have pulled out all the stops to offer audiences a wide selection of world-class musicians to offer new sounds styles and trends in music and performances. The Festival kicks off with a one-of-a-kind concert featuring Lady Gaga and Tony Bennet on the 4th of July, a mesmerizing combination of jazz and pop of the highest order. Stand up comedy will also feature strongly this summer, with the likes of Forest Foresti as well as Gad Elmaleh, who will be performing on the Fight Aids Monaco Night.

 

Variety is the spice of the Festival, and musical artists performing include every genre, including jazz, blues, Afro-American music and everything in between. The summer festival, which is located in the legendary Salles des Etoiles in Monte Carlo brings celebrities and super stars from all over the world to the Principality of Monaco. They flock to Monte Carlo not only to enjoy the sights and sounds of a varied and superlative music festival, but also to savor the magic of an exclusive Mediterranean summer resort.

 

 

 

Monte Carlo Sporting Summer Festival Highlights

Here is a list of some of the highlights of this year’s Monte Carlo Sporting Summer Festival:

4th July: Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga “Cheek to Cheek Concert Tour” – a special engagement featuring these music icons and multiple Grammy Award winners celebrating their critically acclaimed collaborative jazz.

7th July: ZZ Top and Johnny Gallagher & The Boxtie Band – This Texan trio boasts 45 years of music magic and more than 50 million copies of their 15 albums sold. And they’re still going strong after more than 40 years!

8th July: Lenny Kravitz – Featuring songs from this talented musician’s latest album, Strut. The artist, who has sold over 40 million albums, will also be performing hits spanning his impressive Rock ‘n Roll career.

11th July: Santana “The Corazon Tour” – Featuring Santana’s greatest hits throughout his career.

20th July: George Benson – Hard bop guitar legend and pop singer George Benson will perform his magic.

25th July: Sting – Featured in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003, Sting, once part of The Police, remains one of the best loved musicians in the world.

30th July: Simple Minds – Avante garde and iconic, this band is set to rock the roof off!

10th August: The Queen Extravaganza – tribute to one of the world’s most loved musicians, brought to you with legendary drummer Roger Taylor and guitarist Brian May.

11th & 12th August: That’s Entertainment starring Pixie Lott – A tribute to Fred Astaire with the music of Gershwin, Irwin Berlin and Cole Porter.

13th August: Anastacia – She cancelled her tour due to illness in 2013, and now she’s back!

16th August: Enrique Iglesias “Sex and Love Tour” – The 11th world tour of this supreme superstar.
