At Meta Connect 2025, Mark Zuckerberg unveiled what may be the company’s most ambitious step yet toward blending fashion with futuristic tech — the Meta Ray-Ban Display smart glasses. Designed with parent company EssilorLuxottica, these next-generation wearables combine timeless Ray-Ban style with artificial intelligence and an embedded lens display that only the wearer can see.

Zuckerberg described the launch as a defining moment:
“Glasses are the ideal form factor for personal super intelligence because they let you stay present in the moment while accessing AI capabilities to make you smarter, help you communicate better, improve your memory, and improve your senses.”
A Lens into the Future

The Meta Ray-Ban Display introduces a subtle, built-in screen in the right lens, appearing as though projected into the world around you. With it, users can:
- View and send messages
- Take and review photos and videos
- Stream Instagram Reels or video calls
- Use live captioning and translation features
- Navigate in real-time without looking at a phone
- Interact with Meta AI, which answers queries both visually and audibly
For the first time, users can control the interface using a “neural” wristband. A simple gesture, like tapping your thumb and index finger, acts as a “select” function.
Everyday Style Meets Cutting-Edge Tech
Meta’s partnership with Ray-Ban ensures these glasses maintain a fashionable, everyday look. The display is visible only to the wearer, safeguarding privacy while blending seamlessly into daily life. Battery life supports six hours of use, with the charging case extending it to 30 hours.
The Meta Ray-Ban Display will be available September 30, priced at $799, with limited retail availability across Verizon, Best Buy, LensCrafters, and Ray-Ban stores in the United States.
Expanding the Lineup: Gen 2 & Meta Oakley Vanguard

Alongside the Display, Meta introduced:
- Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 ($379): Enhanced battery life, new colors, 3K video, and advanced audio for clearer in-person conversations.
- Meta Oakley Vanguard ($499): Built for sports and outdoor activities, with Strava/Garmin integration, louder speakers, water resistance, and nine-hour battery life.
The Luxury of Innovation
With ambitions to produce 10 million pairs annually by 2026, Meta is making its smart glasses a mainstream accessory — one where luxury fashion, personal tech, and AI converge.
Meta’s boldest launch to date signals that the age of wearable intelligence is no longer futuristic — it’s here.
