Sanlorenzo’s latest masterpiece, the 74Steel, is more than a yacht — it’s a statement of design philosophy and Italian craftsmanship. Measuring 243 feet, this new flagship represents a bold evolution for the shipyard, blending monumental scale with restrained sophistication.
Launched from the brand’s La Spezia shipyard, the 74Steel challenges the notion that size must come at the expense of elegance. Designed by Bernardo Zuccon, the yacht’s sleek, angular profile and vertical bow evoke the architectural precision of Northern European superyachts, while staying true to Sanlorenzo’s DNA of timeless style.
“A Machine for Living” at Sea

Zuccon refers to the 74Steel as a “machine à habiter” — a “machine for living” — echoing Le Corbusier’s concept of functional beauty. The idea is simple: form follows function, and every inch of the yacht serves a purpose that enhances onboard life.
This philosophy manifests in the yacht’s layout, which prioritizes human experience over ornamentation. The owner’s deck, measuring an astonishing 3,200 square feet, is a private sanctuary complete with a 1,400-square-foot interior featuring a spacious lounge, dual spa-style en suites, an office, and a king-sized bed overlooking a forward terrace with uninterrupted sea views.
A Beach Club Beneath the Waves

At the stern lies one of the yacht’s most captivating spaces — the beach club, illuminated by light filtering through a swimming-pool ceiling above. The result is an ethereal, underwater glow that infuses the wellness area with tranquil energy.
The beach club also includes a gym with a fold-down platform, a massage room, a wood-paneled sauna, and a hammam plunge pool. Folding bulwarks extend the swim platform, creating an open-air oasis at water level — a hallmark of Sanlorenzo’s seamless indoor-outdoor design.
Interiors by Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini

Inside, designers Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini have redefined contemporary yacht luxury. The aesthetic is sophisticated yet organic, featuring matte wood finishes, curved furnishings, and artful rugs that delineate living spaces without rigid boundaries.
Each bathroom is adorned with a unique variety of marble, while eclectic materials and artwork reflect the individuality of the owner. This first 74Steel expresses natural calm, while two additional builds underway will embody entirely distinct design identities.
Engineering Excellence and Sustainable Performance
Beneath its beauty, the 74Steel is a feat of marine engineering. The yacht features a diesel-electric propulsion system developed in partnership with Siemens Energy, ensuring maximum efficiency and reduced environmental impact.

Six variable-speed Volvo Penta-Mase generators power twin Schottel E-Pods rated at 1,000kW each. The smart air-conditioning system adjusts airflow based on room occupancy, optimizing comfort and energy use.
“The 74Steel proves that size doesn’t equal excess,” says Massimo Perotti, Chairman and CEO of Sanlorenzo. “We’ve brought the same level of refinement and precision you expect from Sanlorenzo, even in this larger category.”
A Refined Revolution in Yacht Design

From the Sky Lounge with its open aft deck to the sundeck featuring a fire pit, jacuzzi, and alfresco dining, every element of the 74Steel exudes understated opulence. The yacht redefines what it means to live luxuriously at sea — merging space, serenity, and smart design into one extraordinary floating residence.
Sanlorenzo’s 74Steel is not just a flagship — it’s the future of superyacht living.
