This autumn, the legendary Orient Express La Dolce Vita invites discerning travelers to tee off on Italy’s most prestigious golf courses—without compromising on luxury. In partnership with the Italian Golf Federation, the brand introduces two curated golf itineraries designed to combine competitive play with world-class hospitality, panoramic train journeys, and Michelin-starred dining. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or an enthusiast in search of la dolce vita, these rail-bound adventures through Northern and Southern Italy are in a league of their own.
The Itineraries: Northern Greens & Italian Swing
Starting this October, the Northern Greens route begins in Rome’s Ostiense Station with a refined welcome in the La Dolce Vita Lounge. From there, guests are chauffeured to Marco Simone Golf & Country Club, renowned for hosting the 2023 Ryder Cup. The route continues to prestigious clubs such as Franciacorta in Brescia, Royal Park I Roveri in Fiano, and Antognolla Golf Club in Perugia.
In November, the Italian Swing journey heads south, stopping at San Domenico Golf Club in Puglia, Castiglion del Bosco in Tuscany, and Argentario Golf Club—Italy’s only PGA-licensed facility.
Each journey features immersive technical masterclasses, elevated golf experiences, and a professional golfer onboard to offer expert insights.
All Aboard: The Luxury Onboard Experience
The La Dolce Vita Orient Express is more than a train—it’s a 12-carriage celebration of timeless Italian luxury. With 18 suites, Deluxe cabins, and a palatial La Dolce Vita Suite, the train sets a new standard in slow travel. The onboard dining car features culinary creations by Michelin three-star Chef Heinz Beck, while the elegant bar car serves classic Italian aperitivi with a view.
Rates and Booking
Cabin rates begin at €3,100 and include all golf experiences, gourmet dining, and first-class hospitality. With only two departures—October and November—availability is limited.
