Lurssen-Boardwalk-Megayacht-Launch: A First Look at the 384-Foot Enigma

The Lurssen-Boardwalk-megayacht-launch has captured global attention, unveiling one of the most mysterious superyachts of the year. Launched on December 5, this striking 384-foot vessel—formerly known as Project 13797—marks another milestone for German shipyard Lürssen, yet details remain intentionally scarce. Still, what we do know paints a picture of a beautifully designed, family-focused masterpiece built for adventure and relaxation.

Lürssen confirmed that Boardwalk’s classic superyacht design was shaped in collaboration with studios led by Frank Woll and Amy Halffman. The result is a timeless exterior defined by clean, flowing lines and expansive multi-deck layouts. The owner played a hands-on role throughout the design and styling, influencing the yacht’s flow, features, and interior atmosphere.

Family Retreat with Exceptional Amenities

A major highlight of the Lurssen-Boardwalk-megayacht-launch is its family-oriented design philosophy. Aboard the superyacht are a curated selection of luxurious spaces, including:

  • A fully equipped gym
  • A scenic putting green
  • Two helipads — one certified, forward on the guest deck, and one aft
  • Multiple pools spread across various decks
  • A serene Jacuzzi located beside the forward helipad

These features make Boardwalk a floating sanctuary designed for both adventure and downtime.

Looking Ahead to 2026 Delivery

While Lürssen is keeping the finer interior details confidential, the yacht is now undergoing final outfitting ahead of its scheduled 2026 delivery. Given the shipyard’s track record and the yacht’s immense scale, more insightful reveals are expected as the date approaches.

Boardwalk joins an impressive lineup of large Lürssen launches this year, including Cosmos, a 375-foot exploration-focused yacht built for global travel. Cosmos made waves for its Ice Class 1D hull, exploration capabilities, and innovative use of menthol fuel cells for emissions-free cruising.

A Special Milestone for Lürssen

Celebrating its 150th anniversary, the shipyard’s CEO Peter Lürssen described Cosmos as one of the yard’s most significant builds. With Boardwalk following closely behind, 2024–2026 is shaping up to be a defining era for the world’s most revered superyacht builder.
