February is the month of romance, and Paris is the most romantic city in the world, so why not take that special someone on a trip to the stylish La Maison Champs Elysées? Baroque Travel has all the details

There’s no better place to spend a Valentine’s getaway than in the romantic city of Paris. And there’s no better place to stay than at the brand new, stylish five-star La Maison Champs Elysees, whose interior design was created by none other than fashion designer Maison Margiela.

This luxury boutique hotel, which is located close to many of Paris’ famous landmarks in the city’s Golden Triangle, and, as its name suggests, close to the Champs Elysées, is a masterpiece of design. Maison Margiela designed 17 of the hotel’s 57 guest rooms and suites to form the Couture Collection, the fashion designer’s first interior project. These are located on the third and fourth floors of the building. The rooms are all individually decorated and quite unique, designed with a touch of whimsy that plays with both proportion and perception.

One of the suites features black walls and a parquet oak floor that has been stained to match. An entire wall of the suite features a case full of curiosities. Another room features a large landscape printed on the wallpaper on the wall; this is reflected onto an entirely mirrored wall opposite the bed. There are 40 spacious Boutique Collection rooms and suites as well, all facing a quiet inner courtyard. They are decorated in a stunning palette of neutral shades. All the rooms and suites put comfort and luxury at center stage, with every possible luxury amenity including air-conditioning, soundproofing, mini Mac computer, free WiFi and a large flat-screen TV.

The hotel is located in a 19th Century townhouse with a Haussman-era façade and was renovated by architect Danièle Damon, who has enhanced and dramatized the building’s historic features whilst maintaining its heritage. The lobby resembles a series of stage sets where different styles and eras blend together harmoniously.

And that is just the start of a delightful experience at this unique hotel. Dining is a joy at the La Table du 8 restaurant and bar, located downstairs, with traditional French cuisine created by Chef Benoit Hilaire and his team. The restaurant also features a Cigar Bar, White Lounge and a lovely terrace with leafy garden and a glass roof so that guests can enjoy dining there throughout the year.
