Europe’s longest-running super yacht regatta, the Super yacht Cup Palma takes place from 17 to 20 June 2015. Baroque Travel has all the details
Here’s your opportunity to enjoy the best in competitive yacht racing in an idyllic location – the Super yacht Cup Palma, which attracts the world’s most prestigious sailing yachts. The 3-day regatta is very popular with yacht owners, crew and others who come to Palma de Mallorca to enjoy its relaxed, informal program every year.
The Bay of Palma offers some of the most perfect racing conditions in the Med, with warm early summer weather and a reliable sea breeze. Participating super yachts moor in the Super yacht Cup Regatta Village at Muelle Viejo. Just five minutes’ walk away is a choice of excellent luxury Boutique hotels, stunning restaurants, fabulous shops, museums and art galleries.
The Super yacht Cup is one of the first regattas of the season, and more than 20 yachts that sail here from all over the world are en route to Palma de Mallorca to participate. Organizers Real Club Nautico de Palma (RCNP) always plan a new course to ensure that the regatta is as much fun as possible – although as the spectacular Bay of Palma is so beautiful, the route is only part of the reason to join the regatta.
Numerous yachts have already confirmed their participation and the regatta’s social program is hotting up. Top DJs and internationally renowned musicians will perform every evening at a selection of dock-side parties, and there’s a chance to win VIP passes to Pacha Mallorca’s famous Palma Club to celebrate the end of the Super yacht Cup on the Saturday night.
