From 30 August right through to 15 September, the crowds will be pouring in to watch one of the highlights of New York City’s events program, the 2015 US Open. Let Baroque Travel arrange seats to this auspicious event, or travel arrangements if you’re coming from further afield
This year’s 2015 US Open is the 135th of its kind, which takes place every year in New York City. The 2015 tennis tournament is played on outdoor hard courts at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in NYC. Marin Čilić is the defending champion in the men’s single events. Also, crowds are expected to come and see whether Serena Williams can hold on to her title in the Women’s Singles Event (she’s currently defending champion for the 3rd year in a row).
In addition, the US Open is the fourth and final Grand Slam event of 2015. Serena Williams will also try to complete the calendar Grand Slam. The famous tennis tournament, which is run by the ITF (International Tennis Federation), is part of the 2015 ATP World Tour as well as the 2015 WTA Tour calendars under the Grand Slam category. The crowds will also gather to watch both the men’s and women’s singles and doubles events as well as singles, doubles and quad events for men and women wheelchair tennis players.
