The fourth largest super yacht in the world, Ulysses is a force to be reckoned with on the high seas. Baroque Yachts takes a look at this explorer yacht that is currently on sale for $95 million
Built by renowned Norwegian shipbuilder Kleven Maritime AS, Ulysses is their first super yacht, as they specialize mainly in commercial vessels. With Ulysses they created a yacht with an unmatched level of perfection, an offshore explorer yacht that competes not only against any other super yacht of its caliber ever built, but can also withstand any challenge that the sea offers.
Boasting more amenities than most super yachts in the 21st Century, Ulysses is 107 meters in length, and boasts a huge 18m beam. Both hull and superstructure are created from steel. The interior design was the project of H2 Yacht Design, a challenge because of the sheer volume of the interior. The result exceeds expectations on all counts.
This magnificent super yacht offers everything possible to ensure a life as a luxury charter vessel. There are more super yacht toys than one can mention, including buggies, motorbikes, sailing boats, a state-of-the-art diving center, and much more. And let’s not forget every possible high tech onboard entertainment feature imaginable.
The highlight is the vast 21 meter tender, that is known as U-21, which is located in the foredeck. It features specially fitted cranes to lower it into and out of the water. Built in New Zealand, it offers the opportunity for deep sea fishing and accommodates up to seven guests in five cabins. And let’s not forget the helipad that comes complete with hangar and refueling station. That will give you a taste of the luxury and diversity on offer in this superlative explorer yacht.
As far as capacity is concerned, Ulysses can accommodate up to 30 guests in 15 luxurious cabins and a crew of 30 staff who share 15 crew cabins. Completed this year in March, the yacht boasts an incredible range of 8,500. And why is it on sale, you ask? Simple – the owner wants a larger one, 116 meters in length. It’s currently being built and will be ready to sail in early 2017.
One thing is certain. Anybody who purchases this treasure will be able to enjoy cruising around the world’s oceans with every possible comfort, luxury and safety feature. Its features, which are astounding, included a Rolls-Royce integrated bridge, spacious guest areas, a separate owner’s deck complete with 11m swimming pool and 12-person Jacuzzi, private movie theater, spacious gym and spa area – and we’ve already mentioned the helicopter hangar and the one-of-a-kind tender, U-21.
