Still time to reserve your suite on Seabourn Encore’s maiden voyage from Singapore in January 2017, or to book a cruise to one of the exciting locations it’s visiting throughout the year
The latest luxury vessel in the Seabourn stable is Seabourn Encore, which was launched this month and sets sail in January 2017 on its maiden voyage. Seabourn is renowned for being one of the most ultra-luxurious cruise lines in the world, and the new vessel, is its finest yet.
Guests traveling on this superlative cruise liner will enjoy extraordinary levels of personalized service, not to mention privacy and every possible luxury. The vessel offers 300 elegantly appointed suites, each with a private verandah. Suites were designed by iconic designer Adam D. Tihany, who created a setting that is more like a private yacht than a cruise liner. Understated elegance is key, but there are numerous modern design elements and plenty of space in the public areas.
Inspiration for this model comes from Seabourn’s famous award-winning Odyssey class of ships which took luxury cruising to a whole new level with their innovative facilities and superb accommodation offerings. On Seabourn Encore there’s more luxury than ever before, as well as more innovation, in the form of The Retreat, a sanctuary where guests can relax in private cabanas, and even a special Spa Treatment Cabana where they can enjoy bespoke spa treatments.
Dining is also on another level, with superb cuisine prepared in the ship’s signature restaurant, The Grill by Thomas Keller, which first opened on Seabourn Quest in early 2016 and is going to be included in the entire Seabourn fleet. The restaurant by acclaimed three-star Michelin chef Thomas Keller is one of those on offer on Seabourn Encore. There’s also Sushi, an all-day restaurant offering superb dishes.
When it comes to entertainment, Seabourn Encore has it covered with a new production show, ‘An Evening with Tim Rice,’ created exclusively for the brand in association with Belinda King Creative Productions. This is one of the highlights guest can expect if they are going on the ship’s maiden journey in January 2017, when she sails from Singapore. Another highlight of the new vessel is the brand’s new Spa and Wellness program with Dr. Andrew Weil, a mindful living program that also debuts on Seabourn Encore. Another reason to enjoy the inaugural journey: both Tim Rice and Dr. Weil will sail on this voyage.
Before this inaugural journey, Seabourn Encore will officially be christened on 7 January 2017 in Singapore at a special ceremony. There, international recording artist Sarah Brightman will officially name the ship before the ship departs on a 10-day Gems of the Java Sea Cruise, en route to Indonesia.
Seabourn Encore has a number of exciting journeys in store for 2017, including a 16-day Great Barrier Reef & Gold Coast cruise, followed by back-to-back 16-day Australia and New Zealand voyages. The luxury vessel then returns to Singapore on the reverse of its first cruise, the 10-day Gems of the Java. Her winter season ends in Athens on 5 May 2017.
This superlative ship then spends summer 2017 along the Med on a selection of exciting itineraries that include a 7, 14, or 21-day Mediterranean cruise that departs from Piraeus, Athens on 6 May, a 22-day Adriatic & Mediterranean cruise departing on 24 June and a 20-day Mediterranean Encore cruise that departs Barcelona on 5 August. It ends off the summer season with the 20-day UNESCO Gems of the Western Mediterranean cruise on 13 September, before starting its autumn season.
