Fashion fundi’s are in anticipation as this takes to the runway from 11 to 14 July. Baroque Access has the details about the 65 shows and presentations about to take place
New York Men’s Fashion Week has become a highlight on the fashion week calendar, and the CFDA has unveiled the schedule for 2017 to be held in west SoHo. Although this may change and more exciting shows may be added, it’s always a thrill to see who will be showing on the runways. Thirty designers will show at Skylight Clarkson Square, which has become the official home of NYFW: Men’s collections and six shows will be held at the newly opened Cadillac House. Many established designers are returning to showcase their latest designs, but there are also many new designers who will be showing for the first time, including Assembly New York, Bespoken, CP Company and others.
In keeping with the ongoing trend for changing the way fashion shows are currently held, 13 designers will be pursuing different show formats, either showing hybrid collections or taking the new ‘see-now, buy-now’ route.
Winner of the 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards, designer Raf Simons will return with his latest collection from his own menswear line, and as can be expected, there’s a lot of anticipation regarding his show. The Belgian designer, who left Dior in 2015, became creative director for Calvin Klein in the US. Also returning to NYFW: Men for this fifth season is BOSS. In addition, there’s lots of excitement about the new names who will be showing this year, so make sure to take note of who’s showing for the first time this season.
