This year the Cannes Yachting Festival celebrates its 41st anniversary as exhibitors and visitors meet on the exceptional French Riviera at The Vieux Port and The Port Canto. Baroque Access has all the details
The prestigious international Cannes Yachting Festival is almost upon us, the time when an expected 50,000 yachting enthusiasts and aficionados head for the sparkling bay of Cannes to enjoy Europe’s leading in-water boating event. This year, almost 600 boats measuring between 5 and 55m will be showcased in the water and on land in two ports – The Vieux Port and The Port Canto – including 100 European, French and international world premiere displays. The boats range from motor and sailing yachts to multi-hulls, tenders and day boats. Visitors are taken out to sea on the yachts so that they can get a good idea of what these fine vessels have to offer.
To facilitate travelling between the two ports, a shuttle service is provided to visitors so that they can reach these two show locations in just 7 minutes by sea. A ground service is being introduced as well for those who prefer to travel on land.
In addition, a new space, The Luxury was launched in 2016 and has been featured annually ever since. Dedicated to luxury, lifestyle and crafts, the Gallery is located inside the Palais des Festivals and showcases high end brands in the luxury and yachting markets. It’s the perfect way for an international audience to gather together around their passions and enjoy the latest trends on offer. This prestigious area is dedicated exclusively to luxury watches, jewelry, spirits, fashion, accessories, household linen, décor, furniture, design, art, services and high tech products. Exhibitors include American Express, Zannetti Watches, JC Pellegrino, Fred Paris, Deep Ocean Technology and many more.
In addition, super yachts in attendance at the 6-day show will be located in the Brokerage and Charter Area at the Port Pierre Canto. These vessels are displayed by the most renowned international brokers and charter companies and feature key players in the second-hand and charter markets. Another festival highlight is the exhibition of boating equipment and service companies in the Pantiero. In addition, another edition of the popular Concours d’Elégance will also feature, displaying vintage and modern day vessels in honor of the French Riviera’s rich history of sailing.
Luxury car brand Maserati has reconfirmed that it will be Official Partner of the 2018 Cannes Yachting Festival. All holders of VIP and Riviera Cards will enjoy a courtesy car service from Nice Airport to the Festival.
Also, these visitors can visit the Maserati Lounge to see the latest super car models. Riviera card-holders also receive a VIP sea shuttle service between the two exhibition areas, en exclusive guided boat tour of the Show and much more.
