The upcoming SIHH (Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie Genève) that takes place from 14 to 17 January 2019 will have many highlights. The magnificent Rendez-Vous Moon watch from Jaeger-LeCoultre will surely be one of them. Baroque Access investigates.
This magnificent limited edition timepiece comes in two versions, rose gold and steel. Offering discreet and sophisticated elegance, the watch boasts a silver guilloché dial, signature floral numerals, hands and chatons that highlight the hours. The timepiece’s automatic movement, the Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 925A, provides a 40-hour power reserve. It offers interchangeable bracelets and is chic, feminine and timeless, the perfect accessory for elegant women.
This is the latest Rendez-Vous Moon watch, offering an entirely reworked moon phase that showcases the incredible expertise of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Grand Maison’s Rare Handcrafts ‘Métiers Rares®’ with their signature precision. A delicately polished moon cycles through its phase in a disc at 6 ‘o clock, with a backdrop of a lacquered blue starry night sky that has been enhanced to highlight the sea of clouds that carry it. When the moon is full and round, it acts as a light-hearted reminder that the circle is still at center stage, the predominant geometric shape in the brand’s iconic Rendez-Vous collection.
Boasting an iconic design and emblematic features, the Rendez-Vous collection is unmistakably recognizable in the latest model timepiece – these include the bezel that is set with 60 brilliant cut diamonds that blend into a seamless border. The inner dial of the new model is studded with 47 smaller diamonds placed in perfect symmetry. The guilloché dial features a textured effect, the perfect addition to the exquisite materials and precious stones used to create this magnificent masterpiece. Jaeger-LeCoultre is renowned for the expertise of its craftsmen in creating the most stunning guilloche pieces – and this new model certainly does not disappoint.
The latest Rendez-Voux Moon watch offers a new interpretation of the illustrious collection – it’s the same, but different, too. It’s a delicate timepiece, a feminine one that showcases the creativity of the talented jewellers and master watchmakers who have created it.
The watch case is 34mm in diameter and 9.56mm thick. Water-resistant, its functions included hours, minutes, seconds as well as the legendary Moon phase. It boasts an open case back.
