Recently revealed, TAG Heuer’s Carrera Lady timepieces have had an upgrade, and the entire 36mm collection now features a bold new design. Baroque Access finds out all about it
Available with either quartz or automatic movement, the brand new TAG Heuer Carrera Lady timepieces combine performance and style in one stunning package. With their understated sophistication and feminine flair, the new models are ideal accessories for the confident, discerning modern woman.
Sophisticated and stylish, the timepieces feature refined indexes and hands, with a choice of dials in either white mother-of-pearl, purple, blue, grey or black. Each features a seconds scale printed on the flange around the dial that is surrounded by either a smooth bezel, or one set with diamonds. The final detail that sets these magnificent timepieces apart from their predecessors is the date window at 3 o’ clock. It boasts an intriguing trapezoidal shape, unlike the original’s square.
These polished and satin finished stainless steel quartz timepieces now feature curved lugs that are fastened to either a brushed, polished stainless steel bracelet, a calfskin strap or an alligator leather strap with a satin finish. The alligator straps come in purple, taupe or grey, and the quilted calfskin straps come in black or blue. Those powered by an automatic movement are only available with a taupe alligator strap or a stainless steel bracelet.
The case size and the timepiece’s automatic movement make the Carrera Lady watch a contemporary one that stands out from the brand’s other ladies’ timepieces. Its 36mm case is larger than any of TAG Heuer’s previous women’s watches, and makes a statement that is both robust and classy.
All of the watches in this new collection feature TAG Heuer’s new folding clasp for leather straps; it’s thinner than previous models and creates a refined effect.
The case back of each quartz-powered model is stamped with the TAG Heuer logo and collection name, along with a cross-hatched pattern that serves as a nod to the Carrera line’s motor-racing heriTAGe. Alternatively, the mechanical-movement timepieces feature a sapphire case back that provides an unobstructed view of the automatic caliber within.
