French jewellery designer and Creative Director of Christian Dior’s Jewelry Division, Victoire de Castellane reflects a playful and poetic universe in her latest collection – three new versions of the luxury fashion house’s La Mini De Dior timepiece. Baroque Access has all the details
The three new versions of Christian Dior’s La Mini De Dior timepiece, entitled La Mini D De Dior Mosaique, feature rainbow-colored textile straps that are woven into colorful mosaics. Offering a choice of delicate pink, pale canary and green mother-of-pearl dials, the watches are embellished with a precious bezel and crown set with diamonds. The result is a trio of beautiful Swiss timepieces that reflect Dior’s watchmaking prowess and the colorful, sparkling world of the brand’s magnificent jewelry.
Each timepiece features a stainless steel bezel and crown with diamonds, a choice of colorful interchangeable woven straps with a steel prong buckle and a colored dial – either pastel yellow, pink or green mother-of-pearl with polished Dauphine hands. In addition, each watch comes with a second strap in black satin, with the same steel prong buckle.
The watches’ movements are Quartz, and each features hours and minute functions. These precision Swiss-made timepieces are water resistant to 30 meters. Each comprises 53 diamonds in all, with a total amount of 0.35 carats.
Drawing inspiration from haute couture and themes dear to Monsieur Dior of the House of Dior, Christian Dior Watchmaking combines creative daring, a sense of color and rich materials with watchmaking expertise to bring precious timepieces to life. A true ode to femininity. The latest timepieces reflect all this, plus a playful sense, making them ideal for a younger wearer.
Prices for these 19mm timepieces are in the range of just over US$4 000. They are currently available on the Dior website as well as through Christian Dior retailers worldwide.
