Starting on 6 February 2020, New York Fashion Week (NYFW) will be the focus in the Big Apple, offering a look at the new runway trends for Women’s Fall/Winter 2020. Baroque Lifestyle finds out more
This year, the schedule for NYFW isn’t as full as it usually is, as some of the heavyweights skip the event, including Ralph Lauren, who has showed in NYFW for the past 50 years, and Tommy Hilfiger, who will be showing at London Fashion Week on 16 February. In addition, the 2020 Oscars is taking place on 9 February, which means that Hollywood stars will be at home and not in the front row in NYC. Because of this, Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Chairman Tom Ford, has chosen to in LA instead of New York, on 11 February, two days after the Oscars.
Despite all of this, NYFW is ready to show its mettle, with plenty of notable NYC designers about to hit the catwalk, including Marc Jacobs, Carolina Herrera, Tory Burch, Proenza Schouler and Michael Kors.
Of course, the last NYFW in September 2019, showing Spring 2020 garments, included a number of highlights, including Rihanna’s second Savage x Fenty Collection, a star-studded catwalk event showing lingerie. Rihanna is also not showing a collection this coming season.
Below is a list of Baroque Lifestyle’s highlights for the coming New York Fashion Week 2020 to give you an idea of the show’s we’ll be watching. See you in the Front Row!
