The Dubai International Yacht Show, which as to be held at Dubai Harbor from 10 to 14 March, has been postponed because of the COVID-19 virus epidemic. The show, which was expected to have superyachts on display with an overall value of around US$708 million, will now be held in November 2020.
The new and exciting events expected at the show, which include free diving and sailing lessons at Watersports Village, the first school competition in the world for AI sustainable yachts, slick sea toys, world-famous dive speakers, famous entertainers and much more, will still take place in November. The show will be held for the first time at Dubai Harbor, which is currently being transformed into a world-class maritime neighborhood offering unprecedented marina berths, the most advanced cruise terminals in the region and an extraordinary location.
Superyachts on display will hopefully still include the biggest yacht ever displayed on the show, the iconic 106m Amadea whose layout and interior will be revealed for the first time ever at the show.
Another major yachting event due to take place in the UAE from 18 to 21 March is the Qatar International Boat Show. We are waiting to hear whether this show, which was to be held at Porto Arabia, The Pearl – Qatar, one of the most popular areas in Doha and a prestigious mega yacht marina, will still take place or also be postponed.
